Even poor are celebrating Dhanteras in State today: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that earlier only those who had money were able to celebrate Dhanteras. Today, 4.51 lakh families of Madhya Pradesh are celebrating Dhanteras by entering their new homes. Sisters have become the owners of their house. Their new homes have given them new strength to make their dreams come true. This day is not gust for Griha Pravesh, but of new happiness, new resolutions, new dreams, new enthusiasm and new fortune.
On Dhanteras, Prime Minister Modi conducted virtual Griha Pravesh of 4.51 lakh beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He also unveiled the Griha Pravesham stone plaque through remote. In the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the main programme was held at BTI Ground, Satna. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, incharge of Satna and Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
Modi said that Pradhan Mantri Awas are becoming a medium of social and economic change in the country. It is not just a house, it is a complete house. These houses have basic facilities like toilets, gas, electricity connections and taps. Along with this, the benefits of various schemes of the government are also being given to these beneficiaries. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the work of construction of Pradhan Mantri Awas in Madhya Pradesh is going on at a fast pace. So far about 30 lakh houses have been built in Madhya Pradesh and about 22 thousand crore rupees have been spent on their construction. More than 50 thousand Rajmistris (masons) have been trained in Madhya Pradesh. Among them there are 9 to 10 thousand sisters. This is a huge task of teaching the sisters a new art. For this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his team deserve congratulations. Prime Minister Modi said that these houses are bringing new progress not only for the beneficiaries but also for the entire village and region. The material which is being used in their construction is being taken from the factories and shops of the surrounding areas, due to which a large number of employment opportunities have also increased.
Modi said that citizens in the country are being rapidly connected with basic facilities. Along with pucca houses with basic amenities, facilities like roads, hospitals, schools, colleges, village to village optical fiber etc. are expanding rapidly. Efforts are being made to remove poverty in the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free ration is being given to the poor.
Prime Minister Modi said that the government is taking full care that the money of tax payers is fully utilised. Free ration to the poor, free treatment from Ayushman Yojana is the right use of their money. The government has given great relief to the poor and middle class with free vaccination. Our government does not distribute freebies. Modi said that the government takes full care of the farmers. Buys a sack of urea worth more than Rs 2,000 and gives it to the farmer for Rs 260. For the convenience of the farmers, now the sack of fertiliser will come in the name of Bharat and its price will be written on it. Farmers should not pay more than that. The money of various schemes is now going directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries. The life of common man has been made easy by using technology. In Swamitva scheme, the poor are being given ownership of their land for the first time. Drones are being used in farming. Now the farmers are being provided various facilities at the ration shops in the villages including agricultural equipment etc. Modi said that after many generations, the poor will now celebrate Diwali in their own homes. The light of this Diwali lamp will bring new light for them. Wishing everyone a very happy Dhanteras and Deepawali, he said that the new houses should be the medium for their progress. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that PM is working to change the lives of the people through various schemes. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, every poor is getting a pucca house. By the year 2024, no poor will live in a thatched hut, everyone will have pucca houses. This year a budget provision of Rs 10,000 crore has been made for the Pradhan Mantri Awas in Madhya Pradesh. Mahayagya for the welfare of the poor is going on in the state. Today 4.51 lakh poor families are entering their new homes across the state. One lakh houses each have been completed in Satna, Rewa, Balaghat and Sagar districts. The entire state is immersed in joy and happiness today. Chief Minister Chouhan said that India has never been respected as much at the international level as it is today. A magnificent, glorious, prosperous, affluent and powerful India is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Chouhan said that after Diwali, such poor of the State, who do not have land to live in, will be given land pattas under Mukhyamantri Bhu-Awas Adhikar Yojna. Mukhya Mantri Jan-Seva Abhiyan is being run in the State till October 31, in which the benefits are extended.
