Shastra-Puja performed at Police Lines

 

 

 

On the occasion of Vijayadashmi, according to every year, the ‘Shastra-Puja’ was performed traditionally with rituals and mantras in the Police Lines, Nehru Nagar, in the State capital the other day.

There has been a tradition of Shastra-Puja by the Police Department, in respect of which weapon worship is done at all district headquarters. Worship of arms and weapons and worship of vehicles and worship of all machinery has generally become a part of a tradition. In the same way, for the first time, the weapon worship programme was organised in the presence of all the officers of Bhopal Commissionerate under the Commissionerate system in Bhopal. Police Commissioner Bhopal Makrand Deuskar along with the other officials offered prayers with mantras and performed ‘havan’.
