RAIPUR,
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Governments in some states are paving the way for the progress of tribals, scheduled castes and the poor but some people are trying to confuse. Soren was addressing the concluding ceremony of three-day National Tribal Dance Festival at Science College Ground in State capital on Thursday evening.
“In Jharkhand, for the first time, our Government celebrated International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples this year and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the programme in Jharkhand,” the Jharkhand Chief Minister said. Soren said that Jharkhand Government hosted the first Adivasi Mahotsava this year, in which Chhattisgarh Chief Minister participated as the chief guest amid heavy rainfall. The Jharkhand Government will host the Adivasi Mahotsava in grand manner from next year by taking help from Chhattisgarh, he added. Soren said that he had learnt a lot from Chhattisgarh.
“Today, I feel proud to come on this stage of the National Tribal Dance Festival. Efforts are being made in the direction of progress of tribal, scheduled caste and backward classes. There are so many similarities between Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh that it is difficult to identify many areas of both the states as to which state these parts
belong,” Soren said. Jharkhand Chief Minister Soren hailed the efforts of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for hosting National Tribal Dance Festival to promote tribal culture. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is promoting such a class which has been exploited for centuries, he added. “If we imagine making India a developed country it will be just a myth to achieve this without progress of people from all sections of societies. There are lots of problems of tribal and these grievances of the tribals need to be addressed,” Soren stated. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the stall of Shilp Gram is attracting the people and this is an honour for the artisans. “Our government is working to unite the society while some people are working to divide the society,” he said. In Chhattisgarh, the beneficiaries of all the schemes are getting benefits for last four years. Much work has been done in education and cultural sectors. All over the world its only in Chhattisgarh that Tribal Dance Festival is organised. The State government is working to preserve tribal culture. The whole country as well as the world is watching this festival through the platform of Chhattisgarh, Baghel said. Baghel announced that the stalls would remain open for three more days till November 6. It will give more business opportunities to all the artisans, as well as all the employed and other citizens will be able to procure items from here, he added.
