Like every year, this year too, the Tibetan Refugee Sweater Market has opened its doors for the Nagpurians from October 23. There are 75 stalls from all over the country showcasing huge range of winter wear garments for the whole family. There are various varieties of colourful sweaters, coats and jackets in all sizes. Apart from this, there are hoodies and leather jackets and jackets made of parachute material in the latest designs for the teens. There is heavy demand for sweaters, mufflers, gloves, socks, caps, monkey caps, jackets, shawls, coats, thermal wear, head bands and much more. All the stalls in the market offer the garments at fixed prices.

 

Jampa Thai, Member of The Tibetan Refugee Sweater Market said that footfalls are increasing every day. People in large number are coming to the market and buying winter wear. “Generally, the winter wear business depends on the severity of the cold weather. If the temperature drops drastically and becomes chilly the demand for winter wear increases,” he said. The stall owners plan before hand and place orders for winter garments with the manufacturers at Ludhiana, New Delhi, Kolkata among other places. Along with the orders the stall owners provide the designs well in advance so that manufactures get sufficient time to produce the garments,” he added.
