On the occasion of 48th Foundation Day of Coal India Limited held recently, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) was honoured with Corporate Award on Environment / Environment Management Award, Corporate Award on CSR, Corporate Award on highest percentage increase in net sales and Corporate Award on highest departmental capacity utilization (OC Projects) Class II.

 

In all, the WCL has won seven awards. In the individual category, Bravery Award was given to G P Singh; Best GM award was given to Sunil Kumar, who is currently General Manager of Nagpur Zone; and A P Singh was given with the Best HoD award. The chief guest of the function Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi; Chairman CIL Pramod Agarwal and former Chairman of Coal India S Narasimha Rao presented the awards to CMD WCL Manoj Kumar and others, says a press release.
