Outstanding players of Jabalpur Gaurav Scindia and Shivam Jharia brought laurels to the State and country by winning two gold and a silver medals in South Asian Karate Championship in Sri Lanka held recently. South Asian Karate Championship was organised under the auspices of Sports Ministry of Sri Lanka.

Total six countries participated in the championship. Representing the Indian team, Vikram Award recipient Gaurav Scindia bagged a gold and a silver medal while Shivam Jharia won a gold medal for the country. On their achievements, MP Olympic Association, Secretary, Digvijay Singh, Karate Development Association Jabalpur, President, Jai Sachdeva and others congratulated the players and wished them success in future.
