Manoj Kumar Suryawanshi, Commissioner, Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA), has laid down norms for fast-tracking the process of granting approval to development plans of layouts. The entire process would be done on-line.
Explaining the procedure, the NMRDA, in a press release, mentioned that the applicants can submit plans for regularisation of plots on-line. Post-scrutiny and approval of a proposal, a demand note will be posted to the applicant for paying the processing fees as per the stipulated rates.
After the regularisation fees is paid, a letter of plan will be issued to the Land Records Department. Simultaneously, a letter will also be sent to the Tehsildar for converting the plot into non-agricultural (NA) category. Similarly, the maps
of the development works will be issued by the Divisional Office with the approval of the Metropolitan Commissioner to the applicant.
After completion of the necessary conditions in the provisional approval process along with the settlement from the above departments, the proposal will be given final approval by the Metropolitan Commissioner. Post approval from Commissioner, the applicant will be deposit demand letter. Post payment a development agreement will be signed with the applicant and at the same time a letter to release 20 % of the plots. will be issued. The improved procedure will help in expeditious completion of acting approval process and boost development.
