Shravan Stars defeated Tigers XI by 38 runs in the opening match of the Hajiyani Zubeda Abdul Razzak Charitable Trust organised Royal Premier Cricket League Season 7 at Mecosabagh ground on Thursday.

Batting first, Shravan Stars scored 99 for four in eight overs. Pravesh Asudani was the top scorer with 30 runs while Honey Tekchandani scored 24. For Tigers XI. Saurabh Singh took two wickets. In reply, Tigers XI were restricted at 61 for six in eight overs. Ashish Waghade scored highest 19. For the winners, Adwani took three wickets and was declared man of the match.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Rev Ramakrishna (District Superintendent) and Sandeep Gaikwad Principal Mecosabagh Methodist High School. Achal Gandhi, Nilesh Patil, Gaurav Namdeo, Subhash and Sandesh, Kodumal Dhanrajani, Nirmal Khubnani, Rohit Nikambe, Nitesh Yadav, Rupesh Sharma, Md Anis Opai, Sharad Parashar and Vikas Vaswani, Ravindra Singh Bamrah, Irfan Razzak, Sameer Rangoonwala, Asif Rangoonwala, Sunny Dudhani, Rohit Kaishalwar, Kunal Bhumbralkar, Murli Udasi and Sharad Padhye were also present.
