Collector, Harshika Singh visited various villages of Narayanganj Development Block and observed the activities conducted under various schemes of the Government. She inspected Jal Nigam, MNREGA, Prime Minister's residence, school, Anganwadi center and procurement center and gave necessary instructions.
Singh took detailed information regarding the scheme during the inspection of the proposed site for the intake well being built in village Chiri under the collective drinking water scheme. She said that sources of water should be found in all the villages. Jal Nigam and PHE should co-ordinate and take necessary action to ensure supply of drinking water in the area.
Collector, Harshika Singh made a surprise inspection of the Anganwadi center temple Tola Chiri. Expressing his displeasure when both the worker and the assistant went to the meeting together, she instructed to keep the meeting time after the school get over and children went away home. The Collector said that pre-school education and their nutritional diet should not be affected. During the inspection, she inquired about malnourished children, vaccination of pregnant women and children, distribution of nutritious food etc.
Collector Singh also observed works being done under MNREGA in various villages. During inspection of the contour trench work being done in village Kumhan, she instructed to increase employment of labourers. She said that there should not be any delay in the payment of labourers. Do not seat more passengers in the boats plying in Kumha, make the passengers wear safety jackets and make arrangements for divers in the boats.
In Kikaria village, Collector Harshika Singh took feedback from the villagers regarding the implementation of the schemes of the government. She instructed to organise camp in the village regarding the eligibility slip. Seriously study the instructions of the government regarding the related Amla eligibility slip. No eligible person should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. Singh discussed with applicants for land rights. She directed to re-examine the ineligible applications.
During the discussion with villagers in Kikaria village, Divyang Dayal Singh Udali demanded the Collector Singh to get an artificial leg while stating his problem. Singh instructed ACEO District Panchayat to get Dayal Singh examined and to get artificial leg from Red Cross. She also received feedback from villagers regarding school, anganwadi, distribution of food grains, ration at your doorstep, hand pump, Ayushman registration, bank facility etc.
