ADGP exhorts cops not to leave any stone unturned to serve public better

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Umesh Joga reached SP office on surprise inspection on Thursday.
During annual inspection, ADGP Joga instructed police officers including Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna, not to leave any stone unturned to provide better services to the public. He emphasised over the target to serve needy and asked to overcome shortcomings prevail in the working system. In view of shortage of staff in Jabalpur district, he said that as per report, Jabalpur still requires 600 constables to overcome staff shortage which occurred following promotion of constables and delay in new recruitments. Despite which, police always make efforts to save common public from facing troubles and to maintain law and order situation in the district.
Earlier, police guards led by Subedar Yogesh Chouksey, offered salute to ADGP Joga on his arrival at SP Office. The ADGP interacted with all the officers seeking details about their complaints and other issues. He also inspected Reader Section, TA unit and Complaint Unit at SP Office and issued required instructions to the concerned officers. He went through 92 maps including postings in Jabalpur district, shortage of staff, women crime, murder and other crimes. The aforesaid maps belonged to period stretched between December 1, 2021 and November 30, 2022, which were timely updated. These maps indicated towards crimes took place in the city and force available in the department.
Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna, ASP, Gopal Khandekar, ASP Pradeep Shende, Sameer Verma, Shivesh Singh Baghel, Sanjay Agrawal, DSP Apoorva Kiledar and other officers were present during inspection.
