Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Monday felicitated four brave girls and boys on the occasion of ‘Veer Baal Diwas’. Governor also talked for financial assistance under discretionary fund to girls and boys.

Notably, Veer Baal Diwas programme was organised under the auspices of Chhattisgarh Civil Society at Raj Bhawan to celebrate the ultimate sacrifices of four sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Governor’s legal advisor Rajesh Shrivastava was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Governor paid obeisance to Guru Gobind Singh and his four brave sons. Guru’s sons Jorawar Singh ad Fateh Singh sacrificed their lives for the protection of Dharma at the age of 9 and 6 respectively. Guru Gobind Singh’s two other sons Jujhar Singh and Ajit Singh also laid down their lives for protection of Dharma. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to observe Veer Baal Diwas on the day of their sacrifice to educate future generation. The children feted at the hands of governor were Unnati Sharma, Jambawati Bhuarya, Durgesh Sonkar and Sitaram Yadav
