Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodiya performed bhoomipujan of many developmental works at Kisan Samman Samaroh organised at Jaisinagar on occasion of birth anniversary of Former Prime Minister late Atal Behari Vajpayee. The duo Ministers performed bhoomipujan of Jera Medium Irrigation Project to be executed with a cost of Rs 171 crores.
On the occasion, Minister Rajput honoured the senior farmers by showering petals on them and presenting them shawl, shreephal. Further, Minister handed over farming equipments to beneficiaries farmers under schemes of Agriculture Department. He also handed over ownership letter to beneficiaries of PM Swamitva Yojna. On demand of locals, two buses were flagged off which would run between Jaisinagar to Barman.
The event was graced by dignitaries District Panchayat President Heera Singh Rajput, Darshan Singh Choudhary, Dheeraj Singh, Rani Kushwaha, Devendra Phuskele, Mukesh Rai, Narmada Singh, Collector Deepak Arya, and others. Addressing gathering, Minister Rajput said that Central and State Government are working in interest of farmers. Central Government is providing Rs 6,000 as Samman Nidhi to farmers and Chief Minisrter Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced for transferring Rs 4,000 in account of farmers as Kisan Samman Nidhi. Hence now farmers are getting Rs 10,000 as Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Minister Rajput said that when we walk or ride through roads in villages in interior area, we remember Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee as under PM Rural road Scheme, network of good roads has been developed in almost all the villages even in interior areas. He informed locals that Swamitva Yojana has been launched so that locals in rural areas can get ownership right on their houses.
Minister Rajput thanked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat for sanctioning funds for Jera Irrigation Project. He informed locals that correspondence is being done for starting of SDM office at Jaisinagar so that people does not have to visit Sagar for their work. He informed that well equipped building would be constructed in Mandi premises for the farmers visiting Mandi. Jera Irrigation Project would bring large under irrigation cover. Minister Mahendra Singh Sidodiya said that Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee speed up development of the rural areas through road construction. Under PMAY, 31 lakh houses has been constructed. The duo Minister distributed samplings of mango and guava to the senior farmers.
