“The year 2022-23 remains full of achievements for the Jabalpur Rail Division in providing best services to the passengers and infrastructure development while Railway Board has included 15 railway stations under Jabalpur Division for renovation under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. Besides this, Jabalpur and Satna stations are being developed as world class railway stations. The division is all set to follow the guidelines of the Government pertaining to COVID pandemic”, informed by Vivek Sheel, DRM Jabalpur while addressing a press conference, on Wednesday.
Replaying to the queries, DRM, Vivek Sheel informed that several development works are underway for providing best services to the passengers at Madan Mahal railway station. Construction works will be given pace with the completion of cable-stay bridge of fly-over under Smart City Project and a grand station will be available for the passengers. He also assured that the broadening work of railway bridge-2 at Sheela Talkies area will be completed till May 2023. DRM Jabalpur further informed that the division has registered income of Rs 519 crores through rail fair through transportation of 217 lakh passengers while freight revenue of Rs 2,743 collected during the year and Rs 45 crore collected through ticket checking from irregular or without ticket passengers.
Senior DCM, Vishwa Ranjan detailed about the new facilities for passengers at railway stations and trains and successful implementation and publicity of the Central Government. It was informed that the 15 stations named Katni, Mudwara, Katni South, Sagar, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Piparia, Gadarwara, Shridham, Kareli, Rewa, Sihora, Beohari, Maihar, Bargavan stations will be renovated with advanced facilities under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.
During the press conference, ADRM, Deepak Kumar Gupta, Divisional Branch Officer, Dr Madhur Verma, Manish Patel, Rohit Singh Raghuvanshi and Devesh Soni were present.
