Present and former students are lined up after the news of Arundhati Devi High School, the oldest high school of Arang, on Sunday. The students decided to submit a memorandum under the banner of High School Bachao Samiti to Government-Administration against closing down Arundhati Devi High School in a meeting on Saturday. On Monday, all the students will register their protest with the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Block Education Officer, Arang. The next strategy will be decided thereafter. School children carried out sloganeering to save the High Schol after paying respect to Arundhati Devi’s statue on Saturday.

 

Notably, the teachers and staffers have been transfered after closing down Arundhati Devi High School. Transfer of entire staff mid academic session has jeopardised future of children. Notably, Shiv Sena has also offered support to the students in their protest against closing down Arundhati Devi High School.
