RIDING on Mujahid Jamal’s hat-trick, Al Aziz blanked Bezonbagh Football Club 6-0 in the JSW Senior Division Football Tournament under way at Suyog Nagar ground on Monday. The annual event is being organised by Nagpur District Football Association. In a match that picked pace as it progressed, Al Aziz’s striker Jamal scored his and team’s first goal in 41st minute of play. His other goal’s came in the second half in 50th and 70th minutes. Matin Khan helped himself with a brace finding the net in 46th and 60th minutes while Chetan scored one in the 56th minute. Nihal (69th) was cautioned by the referee for rough tackle.

 

In second match of the day, Birsamunda Football Club defeated Noble Football Club 2-0. Goals through Oman Kathaute (10th) and Sunny Mishra (55th) in either half sealed the issue for the winners. In last match of the day, AAI Foundation drubbed Eagle (B) 4-0. Faizan Raza scored the opening goal in the 19th minute. The score remained 1-0 at the half way mark. Five minutes into the second half, Saraswat (50th) made it 2-0. An own goal by Sagar Karute (69th) followed by Mukund’s strike in 72nd minute completed the scoreline. Eagle’s Vaibhav Sharma (52nd) was flashed with the yellow card.
