A video of tiger crossing road in Raisen district went viral on social media on Wednesday.

All vehicles passing through the road took a halt for a few minutes. It was an adult tiger that turned towards vehicles and roared loudly and then he moved towards jungle. People in vehicle were scared. The tiger turned towards vehicles due to the headlights. The incident took place in Sultanpur-Obedullaganj range of Raisen near Diyabadi bridge. When tiger came upon the bridge, all vehicles coming from both sides were stopped. People also clicked the photographs and videos tiger. Locals of the area said that it is common scene as tiger, leopard generally cross the road via bridge in this area. Forest officials said that Ratapani, Sighori and Bhopal Van Vihar Sanctuary area is spread over 1300 sqkm of area that comes under Raisen district. There are around 80 tigers active in forest range. Proposal is also there to notify the area as tiger reserve.
