Hingna Taluka Krida Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha (HTKBS) clinched the general championship as it was curtains to the district athletics championship at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education (IDCPE) on Friday. HTKBS garnered 166 points to claim the overall championship followed by BKCP, Kamptee who collected 159 points. Navmaharashtra Krida Mandal finished third with 142 points. HTKBS also won the women championship with 37 points while Namhya Foundation finished second (30) and IDCPE ended third (24). In men’s section, the championship was won by Jai Athletics Club who collected 42 points while Black Bird Flyers secured second position with 36 points. Navmaharashtra Krida Mandal finished third with 28 points.

 

Deaven Dasture, Secretary, South Point School, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Dr Sujit Metre, Principal, SB City College was the guest of honour. NDAA President Gurudev Nagrale, Secretary Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, SJ Anthony, Jitendra Ghordadekar, Chandrakant Mahadik, Atul Wankhede, Ganesh Wani, Ramchandra Wani, Nitin Dabhekar, Dr Sanjay Chaudhari, Bhushan Dharpure and others were present. Naresh Shelke was the tournament director.
