First time ever in Bastar, a ‘Conclave on Entrepreneurship’ will be hosted by Think-B, an innovative initiative by the District Administration of Bastar, at Government P G College, Jagdalpur from April 26 to 28 to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and start-up among the youth of Bastar region.
Under the innovative business flagship initiative, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, in association with Society of Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) is organising this one of its kind business event in Bastar.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, inaugurated office of Technology Hub and Innovation Network for Knowledge Bastar (THINK-B) at the premises of Government Polytechnic College in Dharampura and encouraged the youth of Bastar interested in innovation, self-employment and entrepreneurship, besides providing them necessary assistance including financial, technical, managerial, and legal.
Bastar Collector Rajat Bansal on behalf of Think-B informed that the main objective of conclave is to emphasise on supporting and providing opportunity to the THINK-B incubatees in specific and other stakeholders and collaborate with the members of the larger eco-system especially for the young entrepreneurial community of Bastar.
He further highlighted that even though there are a number of difficulties in business especially after the worldwide ramification of Covid-19 but at the same time we too have
innovative young business enthusiasts to make good out of it. That’s the very spirit behind this upcoming conclave. This conclave is set to celebrate the business ideas and the stories of entrepreneurs about their passion, hard work, and commitment to achieve success in their own business and entrepreneurial journey. This conclave shall connect the incubatees from varied strata of business backgrounds like craftsmen, artisan, farmers and small start-ups to the larger entrepreneurship ecosystem spread nationally and internationally. This would also pave the opportunity to meet and share knowledge and experience with other entrepreneurial incubatees for mutually beneficial purposes and to discuss and take guidance from the leading renowned entrepreneurs and business thinkers and learn from their struggle and get their very own mantra of successful business. The conclave will be inaugurated by Bansal and it will witness eminent speakers discussing emerging opportunities, government initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurial and business development and explore solutions to challenges faced by them. It shall also include keynote addresses by start-up aspirants from around Bastar and the state, panel discussions, experience-sharing from renowned entrepreneurs, THINK-B Incubatees and students, start-up story-telling, and an investment pitch to a panel of prospective investors by the entrepreneurs. The keynote speakers, Opinion Leaders and Perspective Builders include Professor Shalini Bharat, Vice Chancellor of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India and is well known for her work on gender, equity and many other social issues, Harsh Chauhan, Chairman of the National Scheduled Tribes Commission (NCST) and an eminent social worker, Professor Satyajit Majumdar, Dean School of Management and Labour Studies, TISS, an eminent academic scholar and authority over subjects like entrepreneurship and strategic management, Dr Vipin Kumar, Director, National Innovation Foundation, Department of Science & Technology, Gandhinagar and other eminent entrepreneurs. Such entrepreneurs shall share the key ideas and story of successful business. Sagar Daryani, Founder of WOW Momo, Dhruv Goyal, Founder of Steel Mint, Mohit Verma, Founder of Threadcraft India, Aman Jain Founder of Bunkaar Textiles are few among Entrepreneurs and Mentors of this conclave. The Think-B initiative, a brainchild of collector Rajat Bansal has proved beyond doubt that Bastar is perhaps the best region in Chhattisgarh to work and attain success in pursuit of start-up and other business opportunities.
