Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the new ambulance services in Madhya Pradesh on Friday at Lal Parade Ground. Government ambulances will no longer be the same in Madhya Pradesh from Friday. With the help of Advance Life Support Ambulance of 108 Sanjeevani Express, patients will get ‘ICU on Wheels’ facility across MP. With this, very serious patients will be treated in the Golden Hour and taken to the hospital. Seriously injured in the accident will get this facility free of cost. They will be admitted to the nearest hospital from the accident site.
MD of NHM Priyanka Das told ‘The Hitavada’ that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the ambulance service starting from April 29. The CM will flag off 2,052 ambulances for the entire State at the Lal Parade Ground. With this facility, the injured and sick patients will not have to wait for hours for ambulances in times of need. Government ambulances will be booked through phone call and app. By booking an ambulance on the lines of a private cab, one will be able to reach one’s nearest government and private hospital. After booking from the app, one will also be able to see the movement of the ambulance on the map. For which patients the ambulance will be free: It will be free for pregnant women, road accidents, injured in various accidents, destitute patients, elderly. Patients with Ayushman card will be able to go to empanelled private hospitals under Ayushman Yojana for free. How to book an ambulance: An ambulance can be booked by calling the 108 call centre. Apart from this, ambulances can also be booked from MP-108 Sanjeevani app. On this app, you will be able to book an ambulance by entering the pickup (patient’s current location) and the location of the hospital you want to go to. The patient will be able to see the location and time of the ambulance reaching the app itself.

New fares:-
Advance Life Support (ALS) with ventilator facility: Rs 21.60 per km maximum fare.
Basic Life Support: The fare will be Rs 20.60 per km.
Janani Express: Fare will be Rs 16.50 per km.
Facilities in the new ambulances:
BLS: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Oxygen, BP instrument, pulse oximeter including First Aid Kit Including Essential equipment.
ALS: Equipment like multi-para monitor, BP, pulse oximeter with ventilator and a technician will be present.

Private ambulances will not be able to charge arbitrary fares.
The patient will be able to reach the hospital on time.
Free facility to four types of patients
Patients going to Government hospitals will get ambulances free of cost.
Free facility to Ayushman card holders, pregnant women, injured, malnourished children.
Check ambulance’s location: Till now, one has to dial 108 to call an ambulance. It is not known how long the ambulance will arrive in this. Like a cab, in the new facility, one will be able to see the location and movement of the ambulance on the app. The driver will also be at ease through GPS. You can easily tell the location by calling the driver. Most relief in big cities: According to the officials of NHM, according to the rates given in the tender, the company will not be able to take more than Rs 21.60 per km. Ambulance will be free for four categories of patients like pregnant women, injured, Ayushman card holder patients. Now 108 ambulances with ventilator facility will be available at Rs 21.60 per kilometre. Due to this, patients will get relief in commuting in big cities like Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior. Now there will be 167 ALS ambulances with ventilators in MP: According to the present arrangement, there are 1,446 vehicles of 108 ambulance services in the state. Of these, 840 Janani Express is being operated through vendors. 556 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances and 50 Advanced Life (ALS) ambulances are operational. Under the new system, now 2,052 ambulances will be deployed across the state. Now the number of ALS ambulances with ventilator facilities will be increased from 50 to 167.
