Questions are being raised on the action taken after the three policemen were shot dead by poachers in Guna. A petition has been filed in the CJM Court raising questions on the encounter, which is to be heard by the court on May 17. Notably, this petition was filed by Guna resident and social worker Krishnakumar Raghuvanshi in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Sunday. In this petition, Raghuvanshi has demanded a probe into the encounter. CJM Aditya Singh has allowed the petition, whose hearing has been fixed for May 17. It has been alleged in the petition that the police have done the encounter to protect the powerful and influential people and to destroy the evidence. Three people have been killed without any investigation and without arrest as an encounter.
It has been said in the petition that the law says that if any person is involved in any incident, he should be arrested and produced before the Magistrate within 24 hours. In such a situation, even the guidelines of the Supreme Court have not been followed, petitioner claimed. FIR should be registered under Section 157 in this case. He said that this encounter reminded us of the Rowlatt Act of the British. No lawyer, no argument, only police are paramount.
