Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is maximum scarcity of drinking water during summer season. Immediate action should be ensured as soon as information about drinking water problem is received from urban and rural areas. Public representatives should also regularly observe the actual status of operation of the tap-water scheme and provide all possible co-operation in their maintenance. If there is any technical problem in drinking water supply, then it should be solved immediately. Chief Minister Chouhan was virtually reviewing the public welfare schemes and development of Sidhi district from his residence office at 6:30 am. Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister and incharge of Sidhi district, Meena Singh also attended the meeting virtually from Umaria. Sidhi Collector Mujibur Rahman Khan and other officials also joined virtually. It was informed in the meeting that the maintenance and operation of 21,000 hand pumps of Sidhi district are being monitored through call centres. CM expresses displeasure over delay in distribution of ration: Chief Minister Chouhan said that information about allocation of Pradhan Mantri Awas should be given to the concerned beneficiaries through letters issued by them. It is an effective medium of interaction and communication with the general public. Also, getting information about the inclusion of names in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana directly from the letter also reduces the chances of corruption.This arrangement will improve transparency and quality in the implementation of the scheme. It was informed in the meeting that in Sidhi district, 45 per cent urban and 72 per cent rural Pradhan Mantri Awas have been completed. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to complete the work of Yojana at the earliest. During the review meeting, he expressed displeasure on receiving information about the delay in distribution of ration. Marketing of carpets made in Sidhi should be done under brand name ‘Sidhi’: Chief Minister Chouhan said that beautification should also be taken care of in the construction of Amrit Sarovars. Instructions were also given to make the district hospital a model. He also directed to market Sidhi carpets under the brand name of Sidhi under the ‘Ek Zila-Ek Utpad’ scheme and encourage public participation in the operation of Anganwadis. In the meeting, information about the innovations started with LN Institute Kota for coaching of IIT and NEET exam in Sidhi was given to students. Chief Minister Chouhan said that by encouraging the activities of women self-help groups, it should be ensured that their income is Rs 10,000 per month. Giving instructions to ensure speedy action in the cases of CM Helpline, Chouhan said that it is an effective means of good governance and justice.
