VIMS Hospital’s 5th anniversary tomorrow

 

 

The Vidarbha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, popularly known as VIMS Hospital, is all set to celebrate its fifth anniversary on June 25.

Situated in heart of the city, the 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital is the first multi-specialty hospital to be started in the city by a group of eminent doctors. Dr Vinay Kalbande, Managing Director of VIMS, hospital said that ICU being managed by Intensivist duo Dr Nitin Khandelwal and Dr Hari Shankar Gupta. Dr Juzar Fidvi and Dr Aarti Kalbande manage the high risk pregnancy unit together with Dr Amit Dahat, Neonatologist and Pediatrician, head of NICU.

Dr Rajesh Singhania, a Senior General, Laparoscopic and Bariatric surgeon, is known for his skills in Nagpur and even nearby districts of MP. He has performed many Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies, Laparoscopic hernia repairs and other laparoscopic and open surgeries.

Dr Nilay Hande and Dr Praful Borkar, the orthopedic surgeons with trauma expertise also perform the hip and knee joint replacements. Dr Priyardarshan Hande, Cardiologists and Dr Ashish Badkhal, CVTS Surgeon have performed more than 1000 angioplasties and bypass surgeries in VIMS hospital.

Dr Sandeep Agrawal and Dr Vinay Kalbande are Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons. Dr Sandip Agrawal has developed surgical expertise in head and neck cancer surgeries which he performs at VIMS hospital regularly.

Dr Suresh Chaware, Plastic and hair transplant surgeon and Dr Vivek Agrawal, Neurosurgeon are well known consultants in their fields, Dr Minakshi Hande and Dr Girish Thakre give full time Anesthetic support to the surgeons.
