NAGPUR District Badminton Association (NDBA) has named a seven-member Nagpur district Under-19 mixed team that will participate in Yonex Sunrise Maharashtra State Badminton Championship (Under-19 boys and girls) to be held in Aurangabad from June 30 to July 5, states a press release issued by NDBA Secretary Mangesh Kashikar.

Defending champions Nagpur district have been given the top billing as they won the tittle when the tournament was held a couple of years ago. Due to COVID, the tournament was not organised for the last two years. Nagpur will play first match of the team championship on June 30 against Yavatmal.

As many as 18 district teams from all over Maharashtra are going to participate in the championship.

The State event, to be jointly organised by Aurangabad District Shuttle Badminton Association and Vasantrao Naik Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Aurangabad under the aegis of Maharashtra Badminton Association, will be played at Badminton Hall, Divisional Sports Complex, Garkheda, Aurangabad and Vasantrao Naik College Badminton Hall, Jalna Road, Near CIDCO Bus Stand.
