Fire at incense sticks manufacturing company

A fire broke out in an incense sticks manufacturing company located in Yashodhara Nagar area on Friday, an official said. Five water tenders were pressed into firefighting operations to douse the flames.
The official said that the fire broke out at 12.20 pm in the factory at Parvez Nagar, Itta Bhatti area, when the
company workers were busy with work. The workers attempted to douse the flames but the fire spread fast in the factory.
Five water tenders, three water browsers and five water tankers of the Water Works department were rushed to the spot. The firefighters took around two hours to douse the flames completely, the official said.
It is a ground plus single-storey tin shed structure, where raw material of incense sticks, which is highly combustible, was stored. Property including raw material worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in the fire. However, nobody was injured in the blaze, the official claimed. A large number of residents were gathered to the spot following the fire incident. The Fire Department officials are suspecting short-circuit as the reason behind the fire.
