YEARS-long dream of Surguja residents has finally been realised on Thursday. A well-decorated train from Ambikapur railway station left for Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi.
Minister for Railways Ashwani Vaishnav attended the event virtually from Saharanpur and flagged off the train. Union Minister of State Renuka Singh along with South East Central Railway General Manager Alok Kumar flagged off the train at Ambikapur railway station. Minister of Railways Ashwani Vaishnav appreciated the efforts of Union Minister of State Renuka Singh in starting this new train facility and said that she maintained contact at every level.
Railway Minister said that every person in the country has a deep connection with the Railways with every passing phase this connection gets stronger. He said that the train facility will be started
soon from Ambikapur to Kolkata via Jharkhand. Union Minister of State Renuka Singh termed the launch of the new train from Ambikapur to Delhi as a historic day for Surguja and said that after years, the dream of people has finally come true. For this, she also remembered the struggle going on for years and the people involved in this struggle. The enthusiasm during the launch of the train from Ambikapur to Delhi was seen in everyone present in the program. Apart from BJP office-bearers, former Rajya Sabha member Ramvichar Netam and others were present at the Ambikapur railway station. A large number of people had also reached from Surguja, Surajpur, and Balrampur districts to witness this historic moment.
