A team from Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters, New Delhi, conducted search at office of Cantonment Board, Jabalpur, in pretext of corruption charges, on Thursday.

CBI team comprised of more than dozen officers. Officers entered the premises of Cantonment Board Jabalpur and prohibited entry of any person in the premises.

Officers interacted with the CEO of Cantonment Board, Jabalpur, Abhimanyu Singh and started search of records at Health, Revenue and Engineering Departments. It may be mentioned that several persons registered complaints of corrupt practices in several tenders pertaining to Engineering and Health Departments.

Following the CBI search, panic like situated was created amongst officers and employees of Cantonment Board Jabalpur and no official statement could be made during the search which continued till evening.
