Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur- a leading autonomous institute in central India, recently granted with three innovative patents in the field of engineering and technology.
Adsorptive treatment of dye bearing waste water by using low cost adsorbent is a patent invented by Dr Tripti B Gupta, Prof. Hariom Khungarand Dr. Sharda P. Siddh of Civil Engineering Department.The invention will be useful to industrial waste water treatment particularly - textile industry, colour, dye, pigments, paper and printing industries.
The invention is an attempt to indicate that that the Acacia nilotica sawdust can be utilized as an adsorbent, which otherwise is thrown as a waste material and creates environmental pollution.
Another invention entitled A Device for Rolling and Unrolling a Roller Shutter invented by Prof. Lokesh Heda, and Electronics Engineering students-Sumit Patil, Abhishek Dubey and Saurabh Bhandari have been received a patent grant. This invented device can convert the manually hand driven operated roller shutter to automatic roller system without changing the complete system which will reduce the cost drastically. The system is also integrated with temperature and vibration senser for additional security to owners.
A system for real time payment using random facial gestures invented by Prof. KanakKalyani, Prof. VrushaliBongirwar, Prof. Devishree Naidu and Prof. Shubhangi Tirpude, Department of Computer Science and Engineering has got patent. This invention is real time based application that protects against unauthorized access during online transactions by replacing OTP with live random facial gestures for authentication.
