RAIPUR,
Thousands of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers launched a vehement protest and marched towards the Chief Minister’s House as BJYM National President Tejaswi Surya gave a clarion call for gherao at a public meeting in front of RMC Headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.
BJYM and BJP workers, led by BJYM National President Tejaswi Surya, BJP State President Arun Sao, State In-charge D Purandeshwari, leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel, and other senior leaders, broke through the barricades at Mahila Thana Chowk and OCM Chowk.
Tejaswi Surya motivated the BJP and BJYM workers with his fiery speech. BJP and BJYM workers clashed with a heavy contingent of police force at Mahila Thana Chowk and OCM chowk. There were also reports of BJYM and BJP workers and police personnel suffering minor injuries as the party workers attempted to rip apart the barricades and police tried to stop them. Close to 3,000 police personnel were deployed to stop the protestors.
Tejaswi Surya, Arun Sao, Amit Sahu, and Brijmohan Agrawal climbed up the barricade of containers.
It seems neither the containers nor the police forces fell short of what was needed to stop the wave of BJYM and BJP workers. Police looked understaffed in front of the giant crowd of agitators.
BJP and BJYM leaders used the containers, which were put up to stop the protestors and even containers failed to stop the protestors.
Before marching towards the CM House, Tejaswi Surya said Bhupesh Baghel, his police, and the government are scared of BJYM workers. Surya said that the BJP established premier educational institutions
in Chhattisgarh, but Congress Government hasn’t built a single college or university.Bhupesh Baghel has turned Chhattisgarh into an ATM of the Congress party. There are scams in recruitment as well and every post has a set price. Surya granted Congress Government three months to fulfill the election manifesto or they’ll be holding bigger protests. Surya warned Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel that his time was up. He added that the youths of Chhattisgarh have pledged to uproot Congress Government. In her speech, BJP State In-charge D Purandeshwari quoted the Mahabharata, saying the Chhattisgarh is in the deadly embrace of Dhritrashtra and the way Shri Krishna saved Bhim by replacing him with an iron statue that was shattered with the embrace of Dhritrashtra, BJYM and BJP workers also have to save the state from the deadly embrace of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Addressing the party workers, Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel said youths have come out to the streets of the Capital city. From Surguja to Bastar, there is Halla Bol Andolan against Bhupesh Government. The entire state is vying for change after today’s campaign. Atal Bihari formed Chhattisgarh for development. Under BJP regime state progressed for 15 years but within 4 years, Bhupesh government ruined everything. BJP State President Arun Sao said Bhupesh government is a talkative government. He asked Bhupesh Government to pack up and leave. Chhattisgarh, the island of peace, progressed for 15 years during BJP. But today Chhattisgarh has become a citadel of Crime, Mafia raj, and drugs. Bhupesh Government is destroying future of youths. There is discontent among officials and employees. Only land mafia, drug peddlers, and corrupt have faith in Bhupesh government but not citizens. Brijmohan Agrawal pumped energy in the party workers with sloganeering. Agrawal said we have all gathered here to overthrow the oppressive, tyrannical, and mafia raj patronizing Government. He called on party workers to fight against injustice. Dharamlal Kaushik said today BJYM has raised the voice and the government is scared of the protest so much so that they tried to stop the party workers by putting even containers on the road. Police and Congress have no power to stop us. We will hoist the flag in front of CM Bungalow. Former CM Dr. Raman Singh said the anger of youths is seen on the streets of Raipur. Bhupesh Baghel has deceived the youths. We should rise to change the government. Bhupesh Baghel and his government, and his police are scared. Today, they jammed the road with containers to stop us. Youths of CG have shaken up the Bhupesh government. The police have detained several BJP leaders including Raman Singh, Kedar Kashyap, Brijmohan Agrawal, Akaltara MLA Saurabh Singh, Anurag Singdeo and many BJP leaders and workers were detained by the police.
