The 5th annual convention of National Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare and national conference on ‘Co-ordinated Nutrition, Health and Extension Approach for Sustainable Livestock Production’ was inaugurated at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur, of the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University (NDVSU), on Wednesday.
Chief guest on the occasion was MLA Ashok Rohani while Vice-Chancellor, Dr Sita Prasad Tiwari presided over the programme. Special guests on the occasion were VCCI President, Dr Umesh Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor and Director, IVRI, Dr M C Sharma, District Collector, Dr Ilayaraja T, NAVNAW President, N N Pathak, founder Vice-Chancellor, Dr G P Mishra, NAVNAW General Secretary, Dr Saha, Dean, Dr R K Sharma and Organising Secretary, Dr Sunil Nayak.
Addressing the programme, MLA Ashok Rohani said that the event would definitely pave the way to achieve new dimensions in better care of livestock while Animal Nutrition Welfare Committee, National President, Dr. Nityanand Pathak informed about the significance of convention and national conference.
Organizing secretary, Dr. Sunil Nayak informed that total 17 lead papers will be presented during technical sessions of two days conference. Total 250 participants include professors, assistant professors, scientists, research scholars, post-graduation student representing different institutions are attending the conference. The convention and national conference is being organized under the direction of Vice-chancellor, Dr. SP Tiwari under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Nayak, Dr. Ankur Khare, Rahul Sharma, Dr. Aanchal Keshri, Dr. Nirmala and Dr. Brijesh Ojha.
