“Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is setting high standards not only in academics, but also in all fields through quality education,” said Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra during the inauguration of Bhavan’s B P Vidya Mandir Chinchbhuvan branch, on Thursday.
Fadnavis said, “Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is known for its merit-based admission process, well-trained manpower and best-of-its-kind education across the country.”
“Education should be the medium of inculcation of cultural and traditional value. Bhavan’s has been playing a pivotal role in nurturing its students to become cultured and well-rounded personalities globally,” Fadnavis added.
The inauguration of the branch took place at the hands of the Deputy Chief Minister. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC and BJP State President, was the guest of honour at the event.
Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, presided over the event. Purohit felicitated Fadnavis and Bawankule with shawl, shreefal, memento and bouquet. Bawankule said, Banwarilal Purohit has been his mentor, spearheading multi-dimensional domains in the field of education. He assured that under the leadership of newly formed Government, the New Education Policy (NEP) would help India to scale new heights.
Banwarilal Purohit opined that, Bhavan’s is an institution striving for human excellence. “The foundation of Bhavan’s is discipline and transparency, which make the institution ideal,” he added.
The Punjab Governor urged the audience to lead a simple life, maintain transparency, have limited needs; shun imitating others; have faith in Almighty and also shun ‘The Seven Social Sins’ as quoted by Mahatma Gandhi.
