Taide to lead Vidarbha

 

 

ATHARVA Taide will lead Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy which will be played in Mohali from October 16-27. Vidarbha are placed in Group D of the T20 competition. VCA’s Senior Selection Committee, headed by Suhas Phadkar, met on Tuesday to pick the squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, who recently made his India debut at the 19th Asian Games, will be vice-captain of the team. India pacer Umesh Yadav will be joining the squad on October 18, while Yash Thakur’s inclusion to the squad is subject to his clearing a fitness test.

 

Professionals Dhruv Shorey and Karun Nair will be making their debuts for Vidarbha.
