Immediately after enforcement of model code of conduct, Jabalpur Superintendent of Police, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi was transferred from Jabalpur district and was appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police at the Police Headquarters. Soon after receiving the transfer order, Vidyarthi handed over the charge to ASP Priyanka Shukla and left for Bhopal.

 

T K Vidyarthi who was posted as SP Jabalpur in March 2023, made effective efforts to control the anti-social elements, goons and traffickers by conducting Operation Shikanja. It may be mentioned that on the basis of 34 complaints received by the Election Commission, SP Vidyarthi along with Bhind SP Manish Khatri, Ratlam Collector Shivraj Singh Verma and Khargone Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi were replaced.
