A BJP delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer on Monday evening demanding registration of a case against Congress MLA Hukum Singh Karada for violation of SC/ST Act and Election Code of Conduct. State Convenor of Co-ordination Department of Bharatiya Janata Party Election Commission, S S Uppal, State Co-Convenor of BJP Law Cell, Ashok Vishwakarma, State Media In-charge of Scheduled Caste Morcha, Suraj Khare, Advocate Sunil Gupta and Aman Garg met the Chief Electoral Officer and submitted a memorandum of demand. In the memorandum, it has been said that Hukum Singh Karada, Congress candidate and MLA from Shajapur, has insulted the Valmiki community by using caste-based words in his election meeting in Maksi of Shajapur district.

This is indecent and highly condemnable. Karada has insulted the entire scheduled caste community, including the Valmiki community. This act is a clear violation of the provisions of the Scheduled Castes (Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989). This statement of the Congress candidate is also a violation of the code of conduct. The delegation has demanded strict action against Karara for violating SC/ST Act and model code. Bharatiya Janata Party has complained to the Election Commission about the issue of Congress party printing a misleading pamphlet and distributing it with all the newspapers in Ganjbasoda area. In the complaint made by the BJP Law Cell to the Chief Electoral Officer, it has been stated that Congress chargesheet committee member and former MLA Paras Saklecha has got a misleading pamphlet printed from a printing press in Bhopal. The pamphlet does not mention circulation numbers, which is a violation of the election code of conduct. BJP has submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission demanding strict action.
