Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jalshakti, dared the Congress leaders to contest election out of their home constituencies. He openly challenged Kamal Nath and other Congress leaders to contest elections out of their home constituencies. Patel made these statements while addressing a press conference here on Monday. Patel said, “The BJP is all set to kick off a three-day ‘Shakti Sammelan’ in Madhya Pradesh during the on-going Navratri festival, with the blessings of Goddess Durga and to announce the victory call for the party once again in the ensuing elections.” Patel said the Sammelan, scheduled to be held from October 17 to 19, will be conducted at 12,000 Shakti Kendras across Madhya Pradesh. “The main objective of this mega event is to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the welfare of poor to every household, strengthening every booth to ensure victory,” he added.

He said right from top BJP leaders to grassroots workers all will unite and take part in the Sammelan to energise the final phase of election preparations and strategies, roaring for victory at the booth and ground levels. Patel said Shakti Sammelan will commence in all districts of the State at 12 noon from Tuesday onwards. Thereafter, meetings will be held for booth committees and booth panna commitments and party workers will pledge of firm faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, vowing to continue Madhya Pradesh’s development for the next 20 years.

Replying to a question on anti-incumbency, Patel said the Congress has nothing to say. That is why it is trying to portray a wave of anti-incumbency against the BJP. After the announcement of ticket distribution in Congress, a kind of turmoil has erupted and a large number of senior Congress leaders have left the party, there is no need to say anything further. Answering to another question, he said whenever and wherever the party has asked him to contest elections he accepted and won elections just because of party workers and values in the party. But, Congress leader cannot do this. He said what the Congress has done in its short 15-month Government has become apparent to everyone. BJP City President, Prabhat Sahu, Sharad Agrawal, Prashant Tiwari and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
