State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vishnu Datt Sharma, on Friday raised questions on the list of candidates announced by the Congress. He said there are 140 candidates in the Congress list who have criminal records. Not only that, even those who have reward on their heads have been fielded as Congress candidates. Sharma was talking to the media after inaugurating the Divisional Media centre of the party.
Commenting on Congress’ inner conflicts, Sharma said on one hand there is an ongoing feud between Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath while on the other hand National President of Samajwadi Party and member of INDIA alliance, Akhilesh Yadav has exposed the Congress’ true colours in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav has even stated that Congress leaders have no worth in Madhya Pradesh.
Sharma said after Akhilesh Yadav’s statement, it can be understood that the internal situation of Congress and the INDIA has deteriorated. Therefore, the situation has become clear and in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP will form the Government at the Centre. After inaugurating the Divisional Media office in the city, V D Sharma also visited the election office of BJP candidate Ashok Rohani in Civil Lines. Rohani welcomed him and expressed confidence that the lotus (BJP’s symbol) will bloom in all eight constituencies, including Cantt Assembly in assembly election.
