Station Durga Pooja and Dussehra are mega festivals in the city of Jabalpur. This event is being celebrated from last 54 years. To make the event more happening this year, Shastra Puja and Weapon Display was conducted for the first time for the citizens of Jabalpur city by Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre (JAK RRC) under the aegis of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area at Garrison Ground, on Monday.
The unique event witnessed a huge presence of citizens and youth of Jabalpur who showed their keen interest in the weapons displayed and used by the Indian Army. The event showcased the latest weapons and equipment and gave civilians an opportunity to interact with the soldiers and learn about their experiences in using them. The event was an ideal platform to showcase the strength and valour of the armed forces. The weapons displayed included rifles, machine guns, grenades and other sophisticated equipment used by the Indian Army. Apart from this, skilled soldiers also explained how to use various weapons and equipment. Indian Army proudly celebrates festivals of all religions with equal fervour and grandeur.
Keeping the same spirit alive, the Shastra Pujan was organised at the Garrison Ground, in which General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area Lieutenant General M K Das performed the Shastra Puja in the traditional way and sought blessings from Goddess Shakti, for the well-being of everyone. He complimented the soldiers for their skilled display and inspired the youth present on the occasion to join the Indian Army. The event was a huge success and awakened a sense of pride and patriotism among all the citizens towards the Indian Army. It was a proud moment for the soldiers to display their skills and equipment in front of the public and they received appreciation from all sides for the event.
