Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industry and Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel launched a scathing attack on the Congress saying the Congress leaders seem to have no vision and have become blind in appeasement. He said the Congress leaders are ridiculing our Indian tradition and heritage. Minister Patel expressed these views while addressing a press conference, on Thursday. Expressing disappointment on alleged statements coming from the Congress leaders on our cultural and traditional heritage, Patel said even after completing Narmada Parikrama, Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s wisdom remains unawakened. He said Congress’s identity is synonymous with feudalism and politics for one family and everything Congress does is a façade. The real face of Congress has been exposed, he added.
Patel said it is a big misfortune with Congress that it has always been against welfare of poor. In just 15 months tenure of their government, Congress terminated Sambal Yojana, which worsened plight of labourers and underprivileged. It also mismanaged Jal Jeevan Mission. Instead of distributing funds allocated for Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme to beneficiaries, Congress returned the money.
Replying to a query Patel said, “BJP is in favour of ‘One Nation, One Election’ as it will reduce election costs and prevent interruptions in developmental projects. On Priyanka Gandhi’s statement in which she alleged that BJP has hollow claims and an empty envelope, Patel said their envelope contains a plethora of schemes, including construction of toilets for every house, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, Ladli Bahna Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure supply of potable water to every house and others.
