Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from West Assembly, Rakesh Singh, on Saturday did campaigning by engaging with public during social gatherings. During the programmes he said the BJP has gained huge support across the country and the State. The party is receiving people’s blessings and with their support in the ensuing Assembly elections, the BJP will secure a resounding victory in the West Assembly constituency. He said apart from overall development of the Assembly, he will also work swiftly to resolve the issues faced by the public.

 

Singh said people have witnessed the conditions in Madhya Pradesh and Jabalpur before 2003 and prior to 2014 in the country. There were no roads, no clean drinking water, no electricity and no plans for the welfare of poor. The State and the city were only marred by corruption, black marketing, unemployment and backwardness. However, since formation of BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, the situation has changed significantly. Today, the villages, cities have wide roads, ample drinking water and no power shortages. Furthermore, the BJP government has implemented numerous schemes for betterment of every section of society, benefiting women, children, youth, farmers, laborers, and the middle class.

 

Singh said “Looking at Jabalpur in the past 20 years, we can see rapid development in the city. Every road connecting to Jabalpur has been transformed into a four-lane highway. The city is witnessing development projects worth crores of rupees and the cityscape is changing. Our Jabalpur, once a victim of backwardness, now stands alongside other major cities in the state and the country.
