A momentous occasion marked the history of Jabalpur Military Station on Tuesday when the second batch of Agniveers, the elite warriors of the Armed Forces passed out from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre (J&K RRC), 1 Signal Training Centre and Grenadiers Regimental Centre (GRC) with flying colours. All the regimental centres in Jabalpur Military Station gave 2,196 Agniveers to Indian Army out of which 912 of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre, 997 of 1 Signal Training Centre and 287 of Grenadiers Regimental Centre. The Passing out Parade, which is a symbol of determination and dedication of young agniveers, underwent a gruelling and intensive training of 31 weeks at their respective training centres. After completion of rigorous training they took the oath of protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the nation even at the peril of their life with their hands on the holy scriptures of Geeta, Quran, Guru Granth Sahib and Bible.
The outstanding performers and achievers were also felicitated by the chief guest in recognition to their hard work and dedication exhibited during the training duration. Parents of Agniveers were also present to witness these remarkable warriors who have undergone extensive training while showcasing their proficiency in physical fitness and tactical strategies. These agniveers after passing out from the training centres will now be proceeding to their respective units deployed on the challenging and hostile Northern, Eastern and Western borders to defend our motherland.
The historic Passing out Parade was reviewed by Brigadier Rajesh Sharma, Commandant Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre; Brigadier Lalit Sharma, Commandant Grenadiers Regimental Centre and Brigadier Rahul Mallik, Commandant 1 Signal Training Centre for their respective training centres. The proud parents of Agniveers witnessing the Passing out Parade ceremony and were honoured with ‘Gaurav Padak’ for their invaluable contribution to the nation. The Josh of Agniveers was prominent from the deafening echoes of their respective Regimental War Cry and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ reverberating in the Drill ground. The visible expression of pride and satisfaction on the faces of these Agniveers exuded confidence amongst the spectators that the Nation is in safe hands.
