TEJAS Dhande eked out best time in the Satpuda King of the Mountain cycle race, a one-of-a-kind event organised by Tigerman Sports Pvt Ltd. The gruelling journey that covered a distance of 255 kilometres from Nagpur to the hill station of Pachmarhi, showcased the spirit of adventure and celebrated exceptional athleticism as a total of 37 male and female participants across age groups took part. The endurance race, spanning 16 hours, featured categories for participants aged 18-39, 40-49, 50-59, and those above 60. In the men’s 18-39 bracket Dhande with a timing of (10:05:00) was the fastest. He was followed by Ansh Dhopte (10:18:00) in second place and Mohendra Jaiswal (10:28:00) in third place. In the 40-49 female category, Dr Seema Sharma clinched the first position, with Radhika Mujumdar securing second place.
 
In the 40-49 male category, Pravin Patil emerged as the winner. Dr Siddharth Verma claimed second place and Jai Prakash Singh took the third spot. The 50-59 male category saw Mahesh Kini as the first-place winner, followed by Marian Dsouza in second place and Devanand Meshram in third place. In the above 60 category, Ravindra Tarare secured the first position, and Mohinder Singh Bharaj came in second place. The race was a testament to the unwavering determination and physical power of the participants who conquered the stunning yet demanding terrain of the Satpuda range. Participants came from different parts of the country like Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Prayagraj, Amravati, Bhandara, Washim and Ramtek.
 
At the outset, the race commenced in presence of DIG Prashant Jambhulkar at 5:00 am. The event not only celebrated athletic achievement but also promoted responsible tourism and environmental awareness in the pristine Satpuda region. Race Director Dr Amit Samarth, Tigerman Sports Pvt Ltd, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors, volunteers, and local communities for their unwavering support in making the Satpuda King of the Mountain race a resounding success.
