Dr Pradip Patil plans to open 10 hospitals

 

 

 

 

After successfully competing 20 years of dedicated service to society, Dr Pradip Patil, Managing Director of Shree Swami Samarth Heart Care Centre and Multispeciality Hospital, Trimurti Nagar has chalked out plans to open 10 hospitals in the country within a few years. In an exclusive interview with The Hitavada, Dr Patil said, “This is my dream to open 10 new hospitals, so that more people can take the benefit of high end technology and low cost heart treatment without going the trauma of angioplasty and bypass surgery.” One of the pioneers of introducing non surgical ‘Enhanced External Counter Pulsation’ (EECP) treatment in Central India, Dr Patil said that Shree Swami Samarth Heart Care Centre has treated more than 5,500 patients till date. The hospital treats patients with 70 per cent to 100 per cent heart blockages.

 

The treatment take about 40 days. From just one EECP machine the hospitals has introduced 4 high end technology machines certified by United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The EECP treatment is suitable for patients with weak and low pumping hearts. Dr Patil has completed MD in Preventive Cardiology, Phoenix, USA. At present, Dr Patil is the Executive Director of International Cardiology EECP Society (ICES). Dr Patil said, “When we started the hospital in 2004, we were low on funds and the EECP treatment concept was new and the awareness level among the people was quite low. It was like a gamble.

 

But, over the years, patients benefited and today we have patients coming from Metro cities like Pune, Mumbai and adjoining States. Today, we have achieved a success rate of 90 per cent”. He gives all the credit for the success of the hospital to his wife Dr Archana Patil, who has been the biggest support who had sacrificed everything from breaking her fixed deposits to selling her jewellery and dedicating her time for the well being of the patients. Dr Archana Patil, daughter of Pradip and Archana Patil has also joined the hospital as Executive Director. The hospital was started to offer low cost heart care treatment without undergoing surgery.
