Vice-Chairman of Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council and President of District Bar Association, R K Saini has informed that the statue of Lord Hanuman, which has been installed in the old District Court premises for over 50 years, will now be relocated to the new District and Sessions Court building. Saini said he and the members of the Bar Association held detailed discussions on the matter with Registrar General, Madhya Pradesh High Court, A K Choubey, who also granted permission for shifting the cement benches used by lawyers and litigants from the place as well.
Saini said after discussion with the Registrar General they convened a meeting attended by Secretary Tiwari, Chief Judicial Magistrate Alok Pratap Singh and Deputy Registrar Ambuj Shrivastava. In the meeting, it was decided that the statue of Lord Hanuman, currently situated in the old District Court premises, would be shifted to the already existing temple in the new District and Sessions court premises. The relocation of the statue will be carried out with utmost care and in accordance with all religious procedures. Senior office bearers of the Bar Association visited the old District Court premises and instructed concerned contractor to ensure no harm comes to the statue during the relocation. Saini expressed gratitude to Registrar General Choubey and Justice Alok Avasthi for their support in the sacred endeavor.
