SHUBHAM Dayma’s two goals in five minutes and one from Sohrab Akhtar gave Young Muslim Football Club a comfortable 3-0 win over MOIL XI in their league match of JSW Elite Division Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar, North Nagpur on Thursday. MOIL defenders did a good job in first part of the match denying a strong forwardline of Young Muslim any goal.

 

Post change of ends, Young Muslim came out with a different strategy and it paid off for them. In 61st minute of play, Mohd Yasin made a cross from right flank and MOIL goalkeeper rushed to get hold of the ball but could not collect it cleaning. Dayma pounced on the opportunity and made the mistake count scoring first goal of the match. Five minutes later, in the 66th minute, Saqib Anwar, from near the centre, provided a free ball to Dayma who dodged rival goalie to make it 2-0. The action shifted to left wing. In the 80th minute, Sohrab Akhtar got a measured pass from Shubham and scored easily scored for a 3-0 verdict. Friday’s fixture: Nagpur Blues vs Big Ben at 2.30 pm.
