In the sensational murder case of the BJP leader Sana alias Heena Khan, the City police have filed a chargesheet of 220 pages in the court, charging her husband-turned-foe Amit alias Pappu Sahu as main murder conspirator. A top police official confirmed the information, stating that the role of Sahu was elaborated in the chargesheet. Besides Sahu, the police also charged Ramesh Singh, Dharmendra Yadav, Rabbu Chacha alias Ravinshankar Yadav, and Kamlesh Patel as the conspirator, in the murder case. The official said that the investigation officer, accompanied by a forensic team, had recently traveled to Jabalpur, where they collected samples from multiple crime scenes, confirming a connection between the accused Amit alias Pappu Sahu, and the victim.
The DNA testing revealed that the blood stains found at the crime scenes, including Sahu’s residence, the murder weapon (a baseball stick), and a sofa, all match with the genetic profile of Sana’s mother and son. This revelation has strengthened the case against Pappu Sahu, who allegedly bludgeoned Sana to death inside his residence on August 2, this year. Furthermore, traces of dried blood were discovered on the car seat of Sahu’s vehicle, which he purportedly used to dispose of Sana’s body in the Hiran River.
The forensic team had meticulously collected blood samples from the stick, the sofa, and the car seat. Subsequent DNA testing on a sample provided by Sana’s mother, Mehrunisa, confirmed that all the collected samples indeed belong to Sana. Despite not yet recovering Sana’s body, these forensic evidences would provide critical evidence against the accused for securing a conviction, the official claimed. Despite an exhaustive search operation spanning four weeks, the police had failed to locate Sana Khan’s body. Sana visited her estranged husband, Pappu Sahu, at his residence in Jabalpur, which escalated into a violent confrontation leading to her murder.
