Jabalpur police are on toes to ensure law and order and peaceful polling during State Assembly elections 2023 on November 17. Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) informed that polling for the State Assembly Elections 2023 will be peacefully conducted at total 2,132 booths with the strict implementation of model code of conduct under the guidelines of Election Commission. Total 504 critical and 23 vulnerable polling booths have been identified in different constituencies and one - one half section Para Military Force has been deployed at these polling booths. Total 233 patrolling mobiles in urban and rural areas along with 36 quick response team mobiles and 36 SHO mobiles have been deployed for maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
 
Station patrolling mobiles, QRT mobiles, sector magistrate and gazetted officer mobiles will monitor the situation in every 5 to 10 minutes at polling centres. Total 15 check-post points have been made in urban and rural areas for checking incoming and outgoing vehicles in the district. Around 3,000 police officers and employees along with 16 Para Military Force companies and four Special Armed Force Company and 2,200 special police officers are ensuring law and order arrangements while patrolling and QRT mobiles are monitoring situation at polling centres. Police are also keeping vigilant eye on social media posts to avoid spread of any kind of objectionable and provocative information or material and Police Cyber Cell is continuously monitoring the situation.
 
SP, Aditya Pratap Singh has extended appeal towards residents of Jabalpur for not spreading any kind of objectionable or provocative messages, photos, videos on social media. In case of finding posting of any objectionable post, legal action will be taken against the sender. He appealed the residents to use their voting right
in biggest festival of democracy.
