Cracking whip on listed criminals and anti-social elements during ‘Night Combing Operation’, police have nabbed total 257 absconding non-bailable warrantees in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. During the night combing, 3 to 4 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals. Police have apprehended 257 warrantees who were absconding since a long time.
It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) police have started night combing operation for apprehending warrantees and absconding criminals and to put-up vigilant check on illegal trade and transportation of liquor, trade of fire arms and gambling under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Priyanka Shukla (IPS), Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey and CSPs.
The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district. Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh is continuously monitoring the police patrolling. Total 82 police teams comprised of 400 personnel from 36 police stations conducted patrolling in urban and rural areas under the supervision of 14 gazetted officers.
