Jabalpur’s Makhan Sharma has become the State Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Rewa’s Dr Sunil Pandey and Jabalpur’s Makhan Sharma have been unanimously elected as ABVP’s State President and State Secretary, respectively for session 2023-24. Election Officer Dr Shivkumar Mishra made this announcement at ABVP office, Jabalpur, on Wednesday. Dr Mishra informed that tenure of both the posts will be of one year and both Dr Pandey and Sharma will assume their respective posts as President and Secretary of Mahakaushal Prant, during 56th State Conference to be organised during 69th National Conference, New Delhi between December 7 and 10, 2023.
Dr Pandey belongs to Rewa is serving ABVP as an active worker since 2014. He successfully fulfilled responsibilities as Rewa ABVP City President, State Executive Member, State Head of Student for Development and other prominent posts.
 
He holds M.Sc. degree and PhD in Inorganic Chemistry. His 32 articles were published in various national and international research magazines and a reference booklet was also published in Germany. Dr Pandey has presented his research papers in more than 25 national and international conferences. He presently serves as guest lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Awdhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa. On the other hand, Makhan Sharma came in contact with ABVP activities in 2016.
 
After completing his B.Com and LLB, Sharma presently pursues his LLM from Khalsa College. He effectively his duties as Jabalpur City School Head, City Social Media Head, City Hostel Affair Head, City Joint Secretary and Jabalpur City Secretary of ABVP, earlier. While serving as Jabalpur City Secretary, Makhan led many students’ movements and played significant role to strengthen the student power.
