Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh reacting to allegations ofRs 508 crore being involved in the Mahadev App scam, implicating Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel suggested that when a ruler engages in nefarious activities, they may receive substantial sums, such as Rs 508 crore, from gamblers and commence a cycle of collecting commissions.
Singh raised questions about whether this amounted to the treasury of Chhattisgarh being plundered, with the proceeds being drawn from those who are fostering gambling and betting among the state’s youth. He also noted the apprehension displayed by CM Bhupesh Baghel towards the ED, insinuating a potential involvement in the alleged crime.

Furthermore, Dr Raman Singh underscored the connections between the Mahadev Satta App and the Secretariat of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, suggesting direct involvement. He raised concerns about Baghel’s confidence in winning elections, given the alleged collection of illegal funds amounting to Rs 508 crore, hinting at the possibility of similar activities influencing election.

Singh called this situation deeply shameful for a state’s Chief Minister, accused of accepting bribes from the gamblers alongside various other scandals, including those related to coal, liquor, PDS, Gauthan, and cow dung. He urged moral consequences for CM Bhupesh Baghel and questioned his legitimacy to remain in power. Singh considered these activities detrimental to Chhattisgarh’s future and emphasised the need for the people of State to take a stance against these allegations as the elections are impending, with the hope of shaping State’s future in a more positive direction.
