Bhanot discusses discrimination of workers while visiting Giriraj Kishor Kapoor Ward

Congress Candidate and former Finance Minister, Tarun Bhanot along with senior party leaders and workers conducted extensive campaigning in Giriraj Kishor Kapoor Ward. He after performing worship at Gupteshwar Temple visited a number of areas including Bhole Baba Apartment, National Colony, Ardhnaageshwar Temple, Kailashpuri, Khermai main road, Kripal Chowk, Christian Mohalla and Isaai Mohalla.
During campaigning Bhanot discussed with the general public the key issues outlined in the Congress party's manifesto and appealed for their support. He held talked on discrimination faced by semi-government and contractual workers, those working on a daily wage basis and outsourced workers who come from very ordinary families. He said the government avails these workers of the same services and benefits as regular government employees, despite the fact that contract and outsourced workers receive minimal wages, without any provision for social security. He expressed concern about these disparities and inequalities.
Bhanot said during the 15-months Kamal Nath's government, there were discussions regarding addressing the demands of semi-government, contractual and outsourced workers at the central level. However, no significant steps
have been taken by the BJP in this direction since the change in power. Those participated in the campaign were Dwarka Mishra, Davinder Singh Pal, Ashok Suryavanshi, Dr. Ranjit Bhadauria, Raja Sagwan, Santosh Gupta, Prahalad Sahu and others.
