“In the integrated development plan of West Legislative Assembly, emphasis will be placed on the regularisation of backward residential areas (Basti). The land of these populated Bastis will be converted from revenue land and regularization will be done of these backward areas”, said Rakesh Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from West Assembly during election campaigning in Dada Veerendra Puri Ward. Singh said the constituency faces several issues alongside its numerous strengths. To address these problems, a comprehensive and long-term development approach is needed. The BJP has prepared an effective action plan for overall development and progress of the West Assembly constituency.
He said people have been living in these Bastis for many years, even across multiple generations. However, the land on which they reside is not registered in their names. He assured the public that in next five years, regularization of these areas in the Assembly will be carried out. The BJP candidate commenced election campaigning from Pushp Nakshatra Temple in Veerendra Puri Ward. Later he visited Sunehri Kua, Main Road Garha, Panda Ki Madia, Kori Mohalla, Choudhary Mohalla, Sharda Temple, Purwa Road, Saraswati Gyan Temple, Ramlila Maidan, Brahmin Mohalla, Bhagwan Gevinath Temple and other areas. During campaigning Singh sought people support and appealed them to vote in his favour.
